Gaming hardware pioneer Razor raises funds to enter Smartphone market

Razer, Singapore based company which is famous for making its line of hardware products such as laptops, desktops, special gaming mouse, and headphones for the hardcore professional and semi professional gaming community, has raised an undisclosed amount from Hong Kong based network carrier Three to market “co-branded, gaming-centric handsets and phone plans” and open a brick-and-mortar store in the city.

This January the company acquired smartphone company Nextbit and also recently it acquired an audio tech company started by ex team members of LucasFilms. It is evident the company is looking to diversify into new markets.
